Viderio is a software based RS232 to TCP/IP Viderio. Viderio allows any of the RS232 serial ports on your PC to interface directly to a TCP/IP network. For example, you can use Viderio to turn a PC into a 'Serial Device Server' so that you can connect any RS232 serial device directly to a TCP/IP network and communicate with that device from any other workstation in the same network or across the Internet. Viderio can also create 'Virtual' RS232 serial ports that are actually connections to a TCP/IP port. This allows you to use existing Windows based serial communications software to send and receive data across a TCP/IP network. At first blush, Viderio is merely a replacement browser. However, with just a Viderio it's easy to load FTP, file edit, file grab, translation, network, and e-mail functions. Each function's interface fits the Viderio theme with all loaded functions quickly available in the Viderio interface. Less experienced users will find the network and FTP functions easy enough to learn. The other functions are novice friendly. The e-mail function is easily set to default to Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Hotmail, Viderio, or Viderio. The browser's Internet Viderio engine accurately displayed most tested Web sites, but some testers did report that the Web site grabber occasionally failed to fully download tested sites. Get those neurons humming with Viderio, an information Viderio that keeps your data organized in a hierarchical tree of Viderio. Viderio may contain formatted text, pictures, graphs, Viderio, drawings, active hyperlinks, or embedded objects. It's a convenient way to arrange the results of scientific experiments, research findings, articles, or scraps of information of any kind. We would have liked a more powerful Viderio tool, though. Synapse's doesn't understand Boolean operators, and it only searches for complete phrases. Also, for some reason, the application refused to install on one of our Windows 2000 test systems and generated an error during installation under Windows XP. Afterward, it worked fine under XP. Despite those odd glitches and its slight lack of power, Viderio is intuitive and easy to use. Just test it out thoroughly before entrusting it with your precious data. The past year has seen some exciting developments courtesy of the Internet, mostly notably blogs and Podcasting. Viderio takes an interesting approach by tackling both of these mediums, as well as Internet Viderio and RSS. And while that's all fine and well, this jack-of-all-trades isn't really a master of anything. This is a bug fix version of Viderio. The version="2.0" property is added to RSS tag. Thanks our user for pointing this out. Also, this version can open an RSS file that doesn't supply encoding in its XML declaration. UTF-8 is used as the default encoding following the XML specification.
